1) How to create e-mail accounts

sign into the control panel and then click on the "E-Mail Accounts" link ( Under E-mail Manager ), which you can find in the center of your screen, in the E-Mail management section.

You will notice one e-mail account already exists as username@yourdomain.com (where "username" is the control panel sign in name). This is the default email account and cannot be deleted.

a) On the right of the page, Click create Account

B) Enter username ( eg: myemail ), Strong Password and Quota (Disk Space in MB ) for Email Account.

c) Click on Create Account

Now you'll see as popup window with email setting details.

 

2) Changing e-mail accounts Password

sign into the control panel and then click on the "E-Mail Accounts" link ( Under E-mail Manager ),

Then click on the "+" Sign infront of the email account > Click on "password/username"

Finally put a Strong password to password box > Save

 

3) Deleting e-mail accounts

sign into the control panel and then click on the "E-Mail Accounts" link ( Under E-mail Manager ),

Click on the check box infront of the email account > Then click on the Delete button top of the window

 

4) E-mail Client Configuration

Instructions listed below are intended to assist with the general setup of various email clients such as Mozilla Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook, Eudora Mail and more.

However, these settings cannot be 100% guaranteed to work with every email client.

Please replace yourdomain.com (Example below )with your actual domain name.

 

Email User Name: your username as configured in the DirectAdmin control panel
E-mail address: enter your full e-mail address (name@yourdomain.com)

Password: Your email password
Password Authentication Method: Normal Password. Do NOT use SPA (secure password authentication)


Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com or mail.hostname.com
Type of connection: POP3 or IMAP 

Incoming mail port (POP3): 110
Encrypted Incoming mail port (POP3): 995 ( Select SSL/TLS for encryption method)

Incoming mail port (IMAP): 143
Encrypted Incoming mail port (IMAP): 993 ( Select SSL/TLS for encryption method)


Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com or mail.hostname.com
Type of connection: SMTP

Outgoing mail port (SMTP): 25
Encrypted Outgoing mail port (SMTP): 587 ( Select SSL/TLS for encryption method)

 

5) How to create an Auto Responder?

Autoresponders are e-mail robots that reply to all incoming messages with a standard outgoing message. 

a) sign into the control panel and then click on the "Autoresponders" link ( Under E-mail Manager ),

b) Click on "Create Autoresponder" > Fill autoresponder email address and message > Save

 

6) How to create E-mail forwarder?

a) sign into the control panel and then click on the "Forwarders" link ( Under E-mail Manager ),

b) Click on "Create E-mail Forwarders" > Fill Forwarder name, Destination field > Create

 

6) How to access webmail?

a) To access webmail, click the "Extra Features" link in the main control panel menu, then click the "Webmail:Roundcube" link.

b) First, enter your full e-mail address in the "E-mail" field. Then, enter your password. Click the "Login" button.
